The ceramics, textures and quiet rooms behind this season.
Designing from stillness
This season's mood began away from the noise of trends: in plain rooms, with pale walls, raw linen and handmade objects with soft, uneven edges. The idea was simple — clothes that feel as calm to wear as those rooms feel to sit in.
A palette taken from stone and clay
Ivory, stone, soft taupe and charcoal came directly from these textures. They are colours that work together without effort, so a linen dress, a satin skirt and a knitted top can be worn in any combination. A restrained palette also makes a wardrobe last longer, because nothing dates quickly.
Texture instead of pattern
Rather than loud prints, interest comes from the surface of the fabric: the slub of linen, the sheen of satin, the open work of crochet. Texture catches the light in a quieter way and looks just as good in summer sun as it does at an evening dinner.
Shapes that leave space
Silhouettes are relaxed and fluid — maxi dresses that move, wide leg trousers and easy co-ord sets. There is space between the body and the fabric, which keeps pieces cool in warm weather and comfortable from morning to night.
Build your own quiet wardrobe
Start with one neutral dress and one co-ord set, then add pieces in the same tones. Explore the collection, or ask the Concierge, our AI stylist, to put together a calm, considered wardrobe for your season.
